Pursuant to the Jason Flatt Act (Suicide Prevention)KSA 72-8260, the training materials used by USD 314 to educate all staff members are available for review. Box Tops for Education Help our school earn cash by clipping Box Tops from products and sending them to school. The drop-off box is located in the Work Room at school or they can be returned to the school office. For more information on Box Tops, including participating products go to BTFE.com.(Please we are not collecting soup labels.)Thank you for your support!

Open Gym Open Gym is starting and is on Sunday's from 3-5. Amanda Reid is supervising it this Sunday, if there are any parents who want to get in a rotation to open please contact Amanda or Michael Collett at the school.

SAFE Kids Safe Kids and program sponsor General Mills are proud to announce a special opportunity for teens aged 13-19 who live in Kansas to compete in a Take it From a Teen video challenge. The teen applicant will create a 60-second video that answers one of the following questions: how would you tell your friends to slow down while driving, how would you tell your friends to buckle up, how would you tell your friends to not text and drive, how would you tell your friends to not drive under the influence, or how would you tell your friends to not drive with too many teens and not enough seat belts in the vehicle? Video entries are due Feb. 1 to SAFE Kids Kansas. For more information see posters displayed around the school or contact Mrs. Banister.
Bowlasis on the Plains The Colby/Thomas County Chamber will be hosting a bowling tournament on Saturday, February 10 at the Colby Bowl & Fun Center. Miss Kansas Miss Kansas will have an appearance at Brewster Schools on Feb. 13th. We will hold an all school assembly to hear her presentation concerning the SAFE program starting at 8:30 AM. The public is invited to attend.
